Five in a Row: Jace Denmark Extends Podium Streak in Toronto as Championship Pursuit Intensifies

Toronto is one of my favorite tracks and I usually run very well here. I'm looking forward to a great weekend but it is always tricky in "the concrete canyon." I come into the weekend in third place in the USF 2000 Pro championship, just 8 points behind second place.

This temporary street circuit is constructed around Toronto's beautiful Exhibition Place.

Practice & Qualifying

I'm so proud to be sponsored by 3Dimensional. Their logo looks great on our #20.

Our pit was located right next to Colton Herta's, the winner of Sunday's Indycar race. He had an epic weekend. Go Colton!

Lots of action, friends! In Q1 I came in fourth. In Q2 I was able to better my lap time by 1.5 seconds and ended up third.

Making new Canadian friends between sessions.

Race One

Every driver gets a little sideways from time to time.

I'm starting P3. Several incidents in this race, I got bunched up and bumped in the first corner. Several of the top guys ended up out or in the back of the field. The rest of the race was pretty clean for me and we ended up with another podium, second this time.

Race Two

Starting in third we circulated in order until nearly the end of the race when the second place driver crashed into the wall. I was able to get around his wreck safely. The yellow ended with three laps to go. Lots of pressure from behind me and I went a bit long under braking for turn ten. This enabled one driver to get by me and I ended up finishing the race in third place.

Check out the race two podium - the future of Indycar!

Race for the Championship

Catch me if you can! (And why are those two guys parked over there?)

Another double podium weekend. We head to the final two races of the year in Portland, Oregon, in late August. We are now a solid second in the championship fight. It's going to come right down to the end, just like it should. See you in Portland!
