As I mentioned in the Portland Recap post, this year I have made quite a few new friends in the Pacific Northwest. So I decided to head north from Portland up to Seattle and Bainbridge Island!
Riding the ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island.
First stop was a monthly car show on Bainbridge Island. What an amazing group of people! Everything from muscle cars, to sport cars, exotics, and THIS MB 300SL. Known as the "gull wing," it being my first time seeing one run and drive blew my mind.
Besides Phoenix International Raceway, the PNW has two other tracks. One of them is Pacific Raceways, in Auburn, WA. The owners of the track invited me and some friends for a tour, the history of this place is amazing. I am excited for their upcoming plans!
I have been fortunate to race on many of our country's finest natural road courses. This track is one of the more beautiful in the country as it is super raw and takes you back to the pictures of the Pabsts, Andrettis, Phill Hills, and Parnellis of the 60's.
Crazy corner!
Speaking with with Don Kitsch and track owner Jason Fiorito.
My parents were along for the ride! We were lucky enough to be able to see Glenn's amazing collection of specific beautiful cars and memorabilia. He is a gem of a person with such deep knowledge of car history.
Mike recently restored this 1969 BMW from the frame up. It's gorgeous and such a fun car to ride around in during the good weather in the PNW.
Steve has some cool rides including this beautiful truck. Turns out he's got a place in Phoenix so I'll plan on getting together with him there to take some drives.

The Bainbridge Island Cars & Coffee group does lunch drives most Fridays during the Summer. They welcomed me and this drive was one of the biggest ever.
Last but not least, my friend good friend Bob. An unforgettable week!
